The goal of the Pastoral Care Commission is to provide a caring presence to one another through the following ministries:
MEALS MINISTRY, headed by Ginny Galphin, provides meals prepared by fellow parishioners to those in the parish who are ill, have a new baby, are bereaved, or are recovering from surgery.
NEW BABY MINISTRY, led by Diane Boaz and Jan BeVille, visits parents prior to and following birth, providing support, a book of children’s prayers and baptismal information.
BIRTHDAY CALLERS, chaired by Betty Ewing, with her assistants, call every member in remembrance of their birthday.
INTERCESSORY PRAYER GROUP, meets every Monday morning to offer prayer for the needs of the congregation. Maury McMurray and Carol Corrington lead this.
PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY, headed by Suzy Deierhoi, knits beautiful shawls which are then blessed during the Eucharist and taken usually by the clergy to those who are sick, grieving, celebrating a special time, having a baby, or in need of the congregation’s prayerful support.
GRIEF MINISTRY, visits family members of those who have died and shepherds members through loss. Conny Bryan is the chairperson for this ministry.
HEALTH MINISTRY, Yoga classes headed by Sandi Pierce, and Tai Ji classes headed by Melissa Atkinson and Kitty Kay, are offered. Also, there is a yearly blood drive.

A Collect for Guidance
O heavenly Father, in whom we live and move and have our being: We humbly pray thee so to guide and govern us by thy Holy Spirit, that in all the cares and occupations of our life we may not forget thee, but may remember that we are ever walking in thy sight; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
