The nursery is staffed with a supervisor and youth workers. The nursery is open from 8:45 am until 12:15 pm. All children ages 0 to 4 years are welcome.
 

Godly Play
Sunday Morning
10:00 a.m. - 10:50 a.m.

Godly Play is a spiritual experience where children can hear the word of God and feel God’s presence in a gathering place that is holy space for them. On Sunday the children are welcomed to their rooms by a door keeper who gets them ready to enter the sacred space (the classroom). Once inside, they are greeted by a storyteller who guides them through their Godly Play worship. The children gather in a circle on the floor around the storyteller to get ready to hear God’s word. Then the storyteller uses figures and felt to bring the stories and parables of the Bible to life. Once the story is told, the children are engaged in a time of wondering about the story and what it made them think or feel. From there they are given a time to respond to the story through art or activity. Once they have responded to the Word of God, the children are invited back into the circle for the Feast. The Feast is a time of thanksgiving, prayer, and sharing of juice and a cookie. After the feast the children spend time in conversation with the group as they wait for their parent to pick them up. As they leave the sacred space, the storyteller thanks them for being there and blesses them for the week to come.
