Tour of St. Timothy's

St. Timothy's Episcopal Church was built in 1955 and has been remodeled twice to accommodate the growing needs of the church.  The original structure is now the chapel and narthex which includes a 20ft diameter labyrinth woven into the carpet.  The chapel seats 100 and is the site of the 8:00am Sunday Eucharist Service as well as weddings and funerals.  The stone walls, stained glass windows and timbered ceiling recall the Anglican origins of our faith and are reflected in the later additions to the church.

The first remodeling phase of the church occurred in 1962 and saw the addition the Parish Hall, church offices and preschool.  The Parish Hall seats 125.  Beneath the Parish Hall, the preschool enrolls 60 students.  

The second major remodeling phase occurred in 2000 and includes the nave, downstairs Christian education classrooms and the church organ.  The nave seats 350.  The modular seating can be reversed to face the choir loft and organ for concerts.  Downstairs from the nave are nine Christian education classrooms.   This area is equipped with showers and laundry facilities to accommodate guest families when St. Timothy's hosts the Interfaith Homeless Network.

Of course the best tour of St. Timothy's is in person during a Sunday morning when the building is filled with the sights, sounds and spirit of those who call St. Timothy's their home.
