Youth Ministry
Jamie Ellis
Minister of Youth,
Children, and Families

Middle School Sunday Morning
10:00am - 10:50am

This spring the Middle School (6th – 8th grade) will gather to share stories of their faith journeys and to explore expressions of the Holy in the world around them and what seems otherwise ordinary. The Middle School meets in the EYC room and will be led by Greg Goodgame, Katherine Frank & Michael Gray.

High School Sunday Morning
10:00am - 10:50am

This spring the High School (9th – 12th grade) will be continuing in their quest to understand their personal struggles and relationships within the context of a caring and concerned community of faith.

Episcopal Youth Community (EYC)

The youth of St. Timothy’s are an active group of 6th through 12th graders. They come together on Sunday night for EYC and on Wednesday night for Fellowship. We also have lock-ins, pancake suppers, ski trips, retreats, etc., along with a mission trip every summer and a pilgrimage every other summer.

Sunday Evening the youth have EYC from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. at the church. EYC is led by our Youth Minister, Jamie Ellis, and a dedicated group of people. EYC begins with games and small talk as all the youth gather together. Then we have dinner, followed by a discussion. We end our Sunday evenings together with music and worship. We devote one EYC a month to community service.

Wednesday Night Fellowship meets on Wednesdays from 6:00 – 7:15 pm in the EYC room. We have dinner together, check in on what is going on in each others lives, and have a discussion based on scripture, current events or issues, life, or our worship experiences. Wednesday Night Fellowship is a fun, laidback opportunity to come together during the middle of the week and grow together in our faith.

This coming summer the EYC group will be involved in two trips. One is a pilgrimage to the island of Iona, Scotland and it is for Juniors and Seniors. This trip will focus on the community and worship that is exclusive to the Iona Community, and will be a life changing experience for all. The program is centered on Social Justice and Centering Prayer.

The rest of the group will also be going on a trip. This trip will be to Heifer Ranch in Arkansas. The focus of this trip is conservation and ending world wide hunger. The participants will learn to care for the world that we are entrusted with and will learn how even small actions can improve the lives of others in our world.
